We’re back! EA SPORTS unshackled their marketing behemoth on Sunday by premiering the FIFA 22 Reveal Trailer. The 99 second teaser video introduced new features such as Hypermotion Technology, machine learning, advanced 11 vs 11 capture and the revalation that this year’s release is going to be Powered by Football.
We all saw the revolutionary technology set to “bring football’s most realistic and immersive gameplay to life” but here’s 4 things you might have missed in the FIFA 22 reveal trailer!
Vanarama National League in FIFA 22
The majority of the trailer saw the star studded cast parading round PSG’s Le Parc de Princes but a few more modest grounds sneaked into the frame. Woking’s Kingfield Stadium, Barnet’s Hive and Stockport’s Edgely Park also featured in the trailer suggesting Vanarama’s National Conference League will be coming to FIFA 22.

With Create a Club coming to FIFA 22 Career Mode we expect your newly formed club will start in the National League and work it’s way up the ranks over a number of season’s, a concept EA SPORTS have borrowed from “My Team” in their newly aquired F1 Game.
The New Champions League Ball Leaked in FIFA 22 Trailer
At the end of the trailer, FIFA 22 Cover Star, Kylian Mbappe is seen breezing past Real Madrid’s Nacho and rifling a ball featuring Adidas’s iconic Champions League stars panels into the top corner. The white, solar red, solar yellow and black star mesh are the markings of the leaked 2021-22 Champions League Football, the Adidas FInale Pyrostorm 21, which is expected to go on sale late July/early August.
UEFA Europa Conference League is in FIFA 22
FIFA 22 can feature the new Champions League ball because back in February EA and UEFA penned an extention to their May 2019 deal when they snatched the Champions and Europa League licences away from Konami. This meant from FIFA 19 onwards they were able to include the Champions League and Europa League in Career Mode and bring UCL and UEL content to Ultimate Team.
This year, FIFA 22 will also expand to include the newly formed UEFA Europa Conference League which will join UEFA’s other club competitions, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup from the start of the 2021-22 campaign.
Vinicius Junior Position Change
Just days after finishing runner up in the Copa America, Brazilian, Vinicius Junior turned 21 yesterday (12th July for those of you that don’t follow us on Twitter). The Real Madrid wonderkid is featured doing tricks in the FIFA 22 trailer but as he emerged from the dugout EA SPORTS labeled him as a defender. The gaff, picked up by @AllFifaMistakes on Twitter, is more likely a copy and paste error whilst editing rather than a Carlo Ancelotti moment of madness.

Hypermotion Technology is Only on Next Gen Consoles
Despite being the main selling point of the whole reveal trailer, Hypermotion Technology will only be available on new generation consoles so the Xbox One, PS4 and PC versions of FIFA 22 are set to miss out.
Hypertmotion Technology will take advantage of the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Stadia superior processing power to deliver the power needed to implement the new engine capabilities.
Did you pick up on these 4 things from the FIFA 22 Reveal Trailer? Is there anything we’ve missed? We expect a lot more trailers to be released in the run up to FIFA 22 and EA haven’t been shy in dropping an easter egg or two in the past so keep a close eye on the finer details.
