I’ve been heavily involved with FIFA Clubs since this beloved mode was first created with plenty of highs & lows during my tenure as a co owner of the biggest FIFA Club website and EA FIFA UK Game Changer.
Since stepping down recently I solely playing clubs most evenings as a social Club player with friends.
I recently started writing a blog about FIFA Clubs, nothing too serious more of a relaxed view with a dollop of adult humour for good measure.
Now for the serious stuff. I’ve always felt Clubs had massive potential right from the off, but with the emergence of Ultimate Team, which has certainly changed the landscape regarding Clubs & Virtual Pro’s, it hasn’t progressed as much as I had first thought and only time will tell if FIFA 13 Clubs can close the gap with Ultimate Team in terms of resources and development.
Depending on how you feel about Virtual Pro Accomplishments, leveling up your Virtual Pro in FIFA Pro Clubs can be a rewarding or a long and arduous task. To make things easier for FIFA 13 we’ve released our FIFA 13 Virtual Pro Accomplishments Tracker.

We were treated to some FIFA 13 Pro Clubs news during Gamescom by way of EASPORTSFIFA on Twitter.
All in all a positive step in the right direction for arguably one of the most realistic game modes in FIFA 13 and much more Pro Clubs news than we’re used to getting this time of year.

While the FIFA community sits and scowls at the lack of features in the upcoming FIFA, I am thankful that they’ve finally realised their limits.
When I decided to do a write up on Pro Clubs for Fifa 12 before Gamescom; I was excited. After quite literally no information on the mode before the convention – I was eagerly anticipating some compelling news on new features, cutting-edge changes and vast improvements.

Sometimes a couple of yards of space is all you need in FIFA 13 to create a goal scoring chance or gain the upper hand on your opponent but against containing defenders sometimes a couple of yards of space isn’t that easy to come by. Darren Cross from Match magazine comes to The Boot Room again, this time to show us how he loses markers in FIFA 13 and creates that all important space on the pitch.

When I first got my hands on the FIFA 13 guide I was told that it would be updated throughout the year. It makes sense, the game was relatively new when the first edition of the guide was released and gameplay online evolves all the time and new techniques (and I hate to say it, glitches) appear all the time.

I found the overall rating system FIFA used was a little misleading sometimes, and that players were “praised” for having a high attribute rating for things that weren’t important for their position. This made it difficult to find the true best players in FIFA 13 Ultimate Team.
EA have announced that they’ve scrapped their online pass. Going forward you’ll no longer need to use the extra code to play your games online. But what else have they got in store?
Last night Ultimate Team players got a shock when a when an unusual, light blue card cropped up in their player searches. Joey Barton’s personal ramped up Ultimate Team card had been listed for sale for a starting price of 5,583,000 coins.
Following the initial FIFA 14 reveal, EA have released some more details regarding how your AI team-mate intelligence will effect your play.
