Ok so, this is FIFA 16 Pro Clubs content from the closed BETA that was held last week which only a select few got to take part in. We are lucky enough to be able to share some of the new content early on.

The changes aren’t too drastic this year for pro clubs. I can confirm they have implemented new hairstyles and beards:

FIFA 16 Pro Clubs Hairstyles

As you can see two new hairstyles have been added. Reus’ haircut is now usable for your virtual pro. The other is Ivy league which is more of a generic haircut and I am unfamiliar with its origin.

Four new beard styles have been introduced. Finally you can have a full beard! In my opinion they look really nice, looking forward to using them and seeing what they look like on the pitch.

FIFA 16 Pro Clubs New IconsNew icons on the SQUAD menu *from left to right* Manager, Founder, Online.

Before after you finished a match it would take you straight into the match finder again, sometimes it even put you in games when other people in your team wasn’t there and you end up leaving them behind.

FIFA 16 Pro Clubs Captain Has Left The Next Round Screen

Now if the captain leaves, it will kick everyone out so no-one gets left behind. As you can see from the last two graphics. The colour scheme is blue. That is the same for the pro clubs menu’s, lighter and darker shades of blue. Very clean and slick.

FIFA 16 Pro Club Hub

This is another cool feature EA have added. If you are idle for more than a couple of minutes. Cinematics of well known stadiums will come up. They are really nice images. I think this is in general, not just pro clubs.

FIFA 16 Stadiums Idle Screen

This is just generic pro clubs game play. Overall feedback from the beta testers is promising. I was told the contain button (holding A) is a lot less strong than ever before this FIFA, so people who aren’t too good defending will be found out. Interceptions are a huge part of the game. Main change is that you cant ‘pace abuse’ this FIFA, players will just catch up to you and pin you down.

FIFA 16 Pro Clubs GoalA lot of animations have changed and the way people score their goals will change dramatically in FIFA16. I believe you will have to be patient, find gaps, and try and work for good crossing opportunity’s.

It is no secret EA have neglected this game mode and it is likely to be getting scrapped off by as early as FIFA18. So, if there is one thing you would improve about clubs what would it be? In my opinion, I would love an option to buy a 100% completed pro, similar games have the same model. It would make EA pay more attention and invest more to the game mode because it would be making them more money and I wouldn’t have to do them dreaded accomplishments for a 5th year in a row!

Big thanks to Dennis for the visuals. Go check out his pro clubs/FIFA dedicated YouTube channel.

What makes you say it’ll get scrapped by FIFA 18? For me, Pro Clubs is the best mode on FIFA and it’s not even close. Ultimate Team has become a joke and I know plenty of people who never play it.

I agree, I’d gladly pay for either a completed pro, certain attributes, hairstyles, etc.

I completely agree about clubs being the best game mode. Unfortunately I don’t think there’s enough people playing it to warrant EA spending too much time on it compared to say FUT and Career Mode.

It’s already been dropped from PS3 and Xbox 360 versions and unless there’s a big influx this year I do fear for the mode.

It’d be a huge shame if it’s not developed further because nothing comes close to it in my opinion.

If EA scrap clubs its be a disaster, i wish it could be released as a standalone game, even just a download, then itd have to be worked on and improved, its such a shame EA care nothing for the gamers who fill their pockets.

Didn’t know it had been dropped from last gen versions. If they cut Pro Clubs I would be done with FIFA entirely. It’s the only thing I play. EA obviously aren’t shy about nickel and diming their customers, then why the hell won’t they add some charges to Clubs? I would definitely pay for stuff if it meant the continuation of the mode.

Most of the people I know that play clubs would happily pay extra to see the game mode pushed forward. Unfortunately I don’t think there’s enough.

It needs more numbers, It doesn’t get much YouTube exposure though unfortunately, it’s a lot more time consuming to make content but we’ll push it as much as we can here and the guys at fvpa.co.uk, clubsgaming, com and VFL are having a go but we’ll have to keep our fingers crossed…

New haircuts and beards?!? thats not worth writing about. I bought a PS4 for VP ( I thought they were going to add more features being on better consoles), the least they could have done is return the option to drop the keeper now I’m official done with EA.

I’m so glad to see someone actually writing about Pro Clubs; my favourite game mode. I think even adding something like match coins (whether you play FUT or not) would get more players in. In saying that, you actually have to be good to be successful in Pro Clubs. Drop-ins are horrible to take part in, as no one seems to pass or they make poor decisions. Probably because Drop-ins are people losing at FUT/Seasons and then play Pro Clubs because there’s ‘nothing to lose’. There was a lot wrong in Fifa 15 with Pro Clubs, particularly with the AI players and it makes for a horrible demonstration of a footballing sim. I’m glad the pace abuse is being addressed a bit; there’s nothing more frustrating when the opposition makes a straight diagonal run through the defensive line and the AI defenders couldn’t even stop it.

I think the mode was scrapped from PS3 & 360 largely due to supporting older consoles is expensive, especially when there’s a shift to the newer consoles. I hope it doesn’t go; it’s the only game mode that offers more than two player multi-player and good Fifa players stand out. Football is a team sport and Pro Clubs is an excellent mode to compliment the beautiful game.

THIS! Although I would say that it is ONLY game mode in FIFA that really compliments real-life football. In best case it is beautiful and enticing tactical chess between two teams trying to use all the strategies available on the green field to overcome one another. The best games I have played are the ones we played in some 3rd party Pro Clubs tournament! And to conclude I would be happy to pay some micropayments to keep the mode going if we got then more features to it for example better community support, fixed kick takers, possibility for reserve squad/loan player options, custom kits/badges/stadiums, well you name it there have been so many good suggestions and EA just keeps ignoring the best mode ever in a football game. Please sign the petition here if you are concerned Clubs player like me (btw I only buy FIFA because of the Pro Clubs) http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/easports-fifaproclubs

I completely agree with Ash, Pro Clubs is my favourite game mode too, and there was alot wrong with fifa 15. But it still didnt stop the 20k+ players that played drop in matches (not to mention those playing in actual clubs). Pro clubs brings out the realism to football, but only when the AI aren’t being so stupid that it becomes unplayable.

My main change to Pro Clubs if it was possible, would be to make being a keeper alot more realistic in regards to control. I play on PS4 so playing as a keeper would be hold L1, until the ball comes in past the half way line, then L2 to shimmy across the goal line to make sure its covered. The diving is the flick of the stick, and it doesn’t matter which direction you flick it. Obviously i understand that the goalkeeper has no idea which direction the striker will be shooting, but if there was a split second indication to the direction for the keeper to see only. I think it would come down to reaction times, rather than boring flicking the stick. Maybe its just me, but there doesn’t seem to be alot they can do for the keeper, if they dont change that.

Also another thing would be the GK accomplishments, there wasn’t enough stat upgrades/accomplishments for the GK for any of the fifa games with pro clubs. I personally think that if its going to be as time consuming as they are, then let all positions have the ability to get 99 in each stat (Making you the ULTIMATE PRO), but obviously make the tougher accomplisments even harder to obtain.

I personally would play much much more than i do at the moment, just for that. But this buying a maxed out pro (completed pro), that would kill pro clubs more than anything in my opinion.
