I hope you’ve been saving up those coins because it’s that time of year again! The FIFA 14 Team of the Year players will be out on Monday 13th January.

Last year EA released a different team of the year each week  including teams for each of the top leagues in the world, one comprising of the most consistent players from the year that had never been in form and of course the overall TOTY that will coincide with the FIFA FIFPro World XI team revealed at tomorrow’s Ballon D’or ceremony.

FIFA 14 Team of the Year

The inform cards (which will be blue again this year) will be among some of the most expensive in Ultimate Team so if you’re lucky to bag one in a pack you’ll be laughing all the way to the FUT bank. The question you’ll have then is do you build a team around your overpowered blue in form or do you cash in and buy a full team of top players?

Some of the nominees are suspect to say the least. Casillas can’t even get into the first team and Ashley Cole’s second choice left back atm.

From an Evertonian’s point of view it’s good to see Bainesy on the list!
