FIFA 13 Early Release players may have already noticed FIFA Points in the top right hand corner of their Ultimate Team menus.
So what are FIFA Points and how do we use them?

What Are FIFA Points?
PC players will be familiar with FIFA Points but they’re a new concept to console players.
In FIFA 13, FIFA Points (as well as coins) can be used to buy Ultimate Team packs.
You’ll now buy FIFA Points in the Ultimate Team store on your console with your PSN Wallet or Microsoft Points.
Why Have EA Moved To FIFA Points
EA gave us three reasons why they made the jump to FIFA Points on XBox 360 and PS3.
They Make IT Easier For Us To Buy Packs
Because FIFA Points are actually in Ultimate Team you’ll be able to buy packs using them without being sent off through numerous Xbox Live Marketplace and PSN menu windows every time.
You Can Use Them On The Ultimate Team Web App
This reason makes FIFA Points worthwhile on it’s own for me.
FIFA Points make it possible to buy packs on the Ultimate Team Web App using Microsoft Points or your PSN Wallet.
You’ll still have to buy the FIFA Points on your console first but once you have they’ll be available to use each time you crank up the web app.
They’ll also be available to be used on the iPhone app too. (And the Android app eventually).
Bulk FIFA Point Discounts
A great move for those of us that would be spend the money anyway. Get more packs for your money when you buy more FIFA points.
FIFA Points are a smart move on EA’s behalf because it locks in more of our cash to Ultimate Team in advance. Money that we can’t be tempted to spend elsewhere.
To reward us for committing more of our cash, they’re offering discounts on FIFA Points bulk purchases.
How Much Do FIFA Points Cost
Please note that these screenshots have been provided to us by external sources and prices have yet to be verified.
FIFA Points are unavailable to purchase until FIFA 13’s released around the word on Friday.
Do you think FIFA Points are a good idea?
