FIFA 13 Line Producer, Nick Channon is gracing our screens again, this time explaining why FIFA 13 Attacking Intelligence is such a big improvement on last year’s game.

Soon after EA SPORTS FIFA 13 First Touch Control video, Nick tells us how the AI in FIFA 13 analyse runs differently making them much more dynamic.

AI attackers will now make more intelligent curved runs to open up passing lanes and will open up space to take the ball in their stride.

They’ll hold runs to stay onside and will think two plays ahead, reacting to players that might get the ball and not just the ball carrier himself.

Attacking Intelligence is the biggest rework of AI that the FIFA series has had for a long time. And not soon enough. Finally your team-mates will work hard to support you and provide real attacking options.

You can experience the AI attacking intelligence for yourself in the FIFA 13 Demo which is available to download now.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by some of the clever diagonal runs my forwards are making.

I also like the way players move and rotate when I’m patient and maintain possession in the attacking third.
