FIFA 12 Control the Goalkeeper

A new  feature that’s been added in FIFA 12 single player matches is the ability to switch between controlling your outfield players and controlling the goalkeeper.

In this tutorial video KSIOlajidebt shows us how we can switch to controlling the goalkeeper by pressing the back button on Xbox (select button on PS3).

No longer will you be able to scream at the AI keeper for conceding that feeble finesse shot.  You should have saved it yourself… ;)

I think goalkeeping is really hard compared to fifa 11, on fifa 11 my virtual goalkeeper was overall 89 but when i'm playin fifa 12 i hardly save a shot...... maybe u guys can tel me some tips for goalkeeping on fifa 12!!!!????

my rating as a goalkeeper is lowing without me doind anything. it started in 5 and in the end of the half time it was 4.1 but i didnt even touched the ball. how can that be?

No way man...They must did just like the Pro Evolution. U can change the cursor from the outfield players to the goalie anytime u desire, without change camera, what will permit use manual gk not only in single player mode. It's terrible to depend of an GK A.I. really easy for dribbling and sometimes bad positioning. COME ON EA!!!!!!!!!!!

This could be very problematic for online games, as players when winning may just become the goalie, forcing the other player to play against an AI defense, which completely spoils the point of a head 2 head match. I really hope this is not available for online play.

but you cant switch if you play with a friend at same team :( I hope this will fix in the full game :)

I'm guessing that having someone control an outfield player whilst someone on the same team switches to the keeper view is probably quite difficult to program. I'm not sure if that'll change for the full game but you never know...
