EASPORTS Manchester City

Manchester City Football Club has announced that it has teamed up with Electronic Arts Inc. as it’s new partner.

As part of the agreement, dedicated MCFC virtual content will be distributed through the Club and EA SPORT’S digital channels, including MCFC match simulations prior to the fixtures and unique visuals of the City stars in action.

“unprecedented in both its scale and scope within the computer game industry”

MCFC described the deal as “unprecedented in both its scale and scope within the computer game industry” and confirmed on their website that EASPORTS had captured 360 degree 3D headscan shots of the entire first team squad.

They also confirmed that a behind the scenes video will be released prior to the launch of FIFA 12, on 30th September, giving fans the opportunity to download an exclusive and unique free Club specific pack design.

More details can be found on MCFC’s Official Website.

The duo also teamed up to create a virtual kit launch of the new jerseys that MCFC will be wearing for the 2011-2012 season.  Check out the FIFA 12 Gameplay Footage  below:

Are those in-game graphics? If so, that looks like a pretty sizeable stride forward, not to mention the 360 degree 3D headshots of the City players.
